              Hi guys today I am sharing my first post on making potato pan fry which is called as batate podi , usually it is made as a side dish which is served along with rice and dal .it is most simple and quick recipe even beginners can do it super at first attempt so lets get started, actually this podis I made for myself , the quantity would be for one person , so please keep in mind the quantity for how much you guys are preparing it.
So lets  see the requirements for utensils  which is required for making this yummy podis :

·        Pan (iron or non stick).

·        2 bowls(your choice ).   

·        1 big plate (for putting podis ) and 1 small plate (for rava).

·        Knife

·        Spoon -1

 

Ingredients for cooking :

·        Potato – 1

·        Chilly powder – half spoon

·        Salt – as per requirement

·        Hing – 2 pinch

·        Rice flour – 1 spoon

·        Water 4 spoon  

·        Rava – little 1 big spoon

·        Oil – 3 spoon

 

Method to prepare :

Take all the ingredients and utensils near you

·        Wash potato and peel its skin and cut thin slices and wash them again and place it in a bowl with water else potato may turn black ..

·         After that in a clean bowl add chilly powder , salt , hing , rice flour mix them with little water the batter should not be in running consistency nor thick as glue .

·        After mixture is prepared add the potato slices to them .

·        Spread all the mixture finally to all potato slices so that no mixture should be remaining (hint : if mixture is not sufficient add little water to it ).

·        Now mixture of podi is ready , now take small plate add rava in it .

·        Take slice of podi and dip them in rava (hint : don’t rub slices , simply flip them using your fore finger and thumb).

·        Light a gas place a pan spread oil on it and start putting the dipped slice potato(podis) on them , drop some oil on the top of podis .

·        Cover the lid of pan , gas flame should be medium .

·        Wait for 5 mins remove the lid and slowly flip the podis using spoon add some oil (hint : not to use more oil one spoon to be covered to all podis ).

·        Cover the lid and wait for 5 mins.

·        Check once the podis are cooked properly or not by pricking the knife on them (hint : not harshly while pricking the knife should come easly come of without any stuff sticking on it )

·        It exactly requires 10 mins to make podis , if not cooked properly it will be raw .

·        Switch off the gas remove of the podis in serving plate .
