In this competition many prepared new variety of sweets and new name , new method everything new hope our participants enjoyed making them
so lets see our first winner has prepared 5 variety of sweets :
1. Rasamalai
Rasmalai is basically a creamy and milky syrup . The syrup is purely made from milk, sugar, cream and saffron mixture (saffron is totally optional ) if saffron is not added is also fine . The sugary white cream coloured or yellow coloured balls called as chenna , where soaked in rich milk cream flavoured with saffron, cardamom, cashews and pistachio (you can add many dry fruits in it ). Chenna is made with a help of thick milk by adding lemon juice in it .
2. Soft Mysore Pak
Mysore Pak is a popular sweet recipe made with gram flour, sugar & ghee. Usually this type of soft variety of mysore pak available at Aditya Milk or Nandini its very delicious , totally made with excess ghee . If buying do try you will start licking your fingers and if you keep this sweet in mouth it starts melting.
3. Mysore Pak
Mysore Pak is here bit hard compared to soft mysore pak , crunchy , edges with crumbs its one of the best delicious sweet . Made with gram flour , ghee , sugar same procedure but less ghee
4. 7 Cup Burfi
7 Cup Burfi is an easy sweet made with gram flour , sugar, coconut, cardamom powder & milk. This burfi recipe gets its name “7 cup burfi” since 7 cup of ingredients are used to make it. It tastes very close to the traditional Mysore Pak but with an additional taste of coconut in it.
5. Ponsa Muddo
Ponsa Muddo the word "Ponso" means Jackfruit where as "Muddo" means steamed idli (Jackfruit idli Steamed in Banana leaves)Ponosu in konkani means ripe jackfruit. These idlis are commonly made in South Karnataka every year during the jackfruit season.
